I met Carolyn in Tallahassee at my gym. Our trainer, Kim put us together during our training sessions because she thought we‘d get along and help each other out. She was right! We succeeded at being great friends and also at ganging up on Kim with the whine and complaint during our torture sessions.
That was years ago and I am so happy to know Carolyn today! She is the creator of Embellish Veils and we have collaborated on a few things together. One was a shoot with Vocelles; The Bridal Shoppe and A Country Rose Florist in Tallahassee. You can see some of those shots here. We had soooo much fun! The flowers, the veils, the dresses….everything was perfect.
Carolyn has since relocated to Atlanta Georgia (Marietta to be exact) and since I‘ve started expanding to Atlanta, we continued to visit on the occasion we had free spots in our schedules. I remember one such day where we wandered into a jewelry store “just to look” at wedding rings and BAM! Shortly after, I got a call saying she‘s tying the knot!!!!
In steps Chris! I love him! They are perfect together! I am so excited to be shooting their wedding! Here are some shots from their engagement session. The session started out in downtown Marietta and then we moved to Sope Creek and the Paper Mill Ruins (which is a magnificent fairytale sort of a place, BTW).
They were so easy to shoot. Most folks need a lot of direction because otherwise they feel awkward and don‘t know what to do with themselves. Carolyn and Chris were so comfortable with each other and playful and loving…I really just watched and photographed.
If I could just drag around a fountain to all of my sessions for shots like this, I would!!!!
Seriously! This is the sweetest!
Look how they make each other smile…
Makes you want to visit Sope Creek and the Ruins right?
Carolyn and Chris. Thank you so much for letting me a part of this special time. It‘s an honor and I can not wait until wedding day!!
