I don't do that many personal photography projects and I want to change that. I remember when I first started photography back in the film and darkroom days, i carried my camera everywhere and and took photographs of everything.

This year there are a few things I want to try my hand at and one of them is macro droplet and crown photography. Today I did a simple set up and got a few pretty good shots. I will probably experiment with different liquid thicknesses and colors another time but here's what I got today...

Canon 5D MarkII, 100mm Macro 1:2.8 at f/13 1/50th sec One off camera flash at upper right side of the drops.

The drops are created by a ziplock bag with a pin-prick hole hanging from a cabinet handle above a pink plastic tray of water.

The drops are captured with some counting and foot tap timing.
